About
Dr. Sarah Buydens completed her Ph.D. at the University of Victoria and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with supervisory credentials. She served as a senior trauma centre therapist for a decade and maintains over 20 years in private practice.
She instructed counselling for 10 years at the University of Victoria and teaches with the UBC School of Medicine. Dr. Buydens treats clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and loss, attachment challenges, and life transition difficulties through individualised treatment plans.
She also offers workshops for physicians and healthcare practitioners on trauma-informed practice, patient engagement, intimate partner violence assessment, suicide ideation evaluation, and gender and sexuality sensitivity training.
